Many volunteers lend their time and expertise to assist PRIMA staff and board members in carrying out the activities of the organization. This affords members greater opportunities for involvement and also helps board and staff members identify potential future leaders.

Responsible for monitoring, reviewing and analyzing the current developments in legislative and regulatory decisions and processes which impact the field of public risk management. The priority will be primarily federal actions, although potential precedent-setting development at the state and/or provincial level should also be monitored. The committee is further charged with making recommendations on legislative and regulatory issues to the board of directors regarding action to be taken by the organization.
