The Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA) today announced the launch of its newest online training course—the Associate in Risk Management 54 (ARM54) online tutorial. The ARM54 joins the PRIMA family of online courses, which are designed to help public sector risk managers excel in the field.
The ARM54 online tutorial, which focuses on risk assessment, features step-by-step training modules that let students proceed at their own pace. Students will learn about the nature, purpose and step in risk management; how to identify and analyze the loss exposures of individuals and organizations; and develop and apply rules for choosing risk management techniques in specific situations.
The ARM54 online tutorial can be taken from any computer, any time, anywhere.
"We understand that time is limited and resources are strained," said Lisa Lopinsky, CAE, executive director. "With the launch of the ARM54 online tutorial, risk managers will be able to work toward their ARM designation without having to travel for a classroom course or take time away from their jobs."
The ARM54 joins PRIMA's Risk Management for Public Entities (RMPE) online tutorial as well as the PRIMA Online University. Like the RMPE, the ARM54 online tutorial is conducted by PRIMA Instructor Bill Mason, CPCU, ARM-P.
"The ARM54 online tutorial teaches risk managers what they need to pass the Insurance Institute of America's rigorous test and earn their ARM or ARM-P," said Mason. "It is one of the many ways PRIMA strives to meet the education and training needs of the risk management profession."
The launch of the ARM54 online tutorial also coincides with the announcement that PRIMA will offer ARM testing at its 2008 Annual Conference in Anaheim, CA, June 1-4. Take the ARM54 tutorial online and be prepared to pass the exam in Anaheim!
Prices for the ARM54 online tutorial start at just $395 for PRIMA members and $495 for non-members.
